Tourist Park Rules for Casual Occupants
Booking deposits
1) The booking deposit required is equal to the calculated nightly fee. However, for bookings during the Christmas school holidays the booking deposit required is equal to $100 or the calculated nightly fee, whichever is greater.
2) The cancellation of any booking with notification of less than 14 days prior to arrival will result in the forfeiture of the full booking deposit.
3) The cancellation of a booking during the Christmas school holidays with notification of greater than 14 days prior to arrival will incur a cancellation fee of $100.00.
Fees and charges
4) Payment for the total period of stay must be made on or prior to arrival. However, for bookings during the Christmas school holidays the balance of fees is to be paid to the Park Management before 1 October. Council reserves the right to cancel bookings that have not been paid in full by such date.
5) Fees are non-refundable on or post arrival.
6) Proof of eligibility is required for senior card holder discount.
7) The Schedule of Fees and Charges is a guide only.
8) The following may be altered at Council’s discretion:
a) fees and charges;
b) cabin and bungalow layouts; and
c) site maps.
Minimum stays
9) Minimum of two nights stay over the weekend.
10) Minimum of three or four nights stay during a long weekend.
11) Minimum of one week stay during the Christmas season.
On site accommodation
12) Check in time is between 2:00pm and 7:30pm.
13) Check out time is between 8:00am and 10:00am on the day of departure.
14) Arrivals and departures outside these times require approval of the Park Manager or other authorised employee or agent of the park owner (Park Management) with one day notice.
15) Occupants of cabins or bungalows are required to bring their own bedroom and bathroom linen, pillows and blankets, except where specified.
16) Cabin or bungalow furniture is to be used appropriately and is to be maintained within the cabin or bungalow for which it is supplied.
Holiday vans (annual sites)
17) The owner (occupant) of a holiday van must not occupy the site for a total of more than 180 days in any 12 month period, i.e., financial year or continuously for more than 50% of the total days within a payment quarter, i.e., refer to clause 11(1) of Occupation Agreement.
18) Stays of six hours or more within a 24 hour period are considered an “overnight stay” and therefore counted in calculating the number of days a site is occupied.
19) If an occupant or any person the occupant allows on the site anticipates arrival outside office hours, the occupant must notify Park Management during office hours in advance and must report to Park Management within 12 hours of arrival to the park.
20) Council accepts no responsibility for damage to vans, annexes or personal property retained on the park or for the damage caused to vans, annexes or personal property whilst being moved.
21) The occupant must use only extension leads fitted with plugs of not less than 15 amperes load capacity as per the Australian Standard and in conjunction with the parks’ electricity supply to the site. On departure the occupant must turn off the electricity supply to the caravan, this must be done at the power head. The Park Management reserves the right to turn off or disconnect leads if the occupant fails to comply with this requirement. Leads are to be kept in good safe working order and will be tagged yearly by a Park Management approved electrical contractor to verify their safety. Only one lead can be connected per site.
22) The occupant must turn off water supply when the site is not in use.
23) Gas bottles must be checked in accordance with legal requirements at least every 10 years and date stamped.
24) The occupant must keep grass within site boundaries cut to the reasonable satisfaction of Park Management.
25) The occupant must not carry out any tree or shrub pruning or gardening on the site without approval from Park Management.
26) The occupant must not store any materials or equipment beneath caravan or annex floors.
27) The occupant agrees not to attach any fixtures or renovate, alter or add to the moveable dwelling or site prior to or without Park Managements’ written permission.
28) Any temporary shelters for example shade cloth sails must be removed when the site is not in use.
General
29) The occupant must promptly comply with and observe the provisions of every statute, regulation, ordinance, by law and rule made or to be made under any statute and all notices received from and directions given by any statutory or public authority or Park Management relating to the site or the use of the site by the occupant.
30) All new arrivals and visitors must report to Park Management during office hours before entry into the park.
31) All sites including cabins, bungalows, caravan and camping and holiday van sites are ONLY to be occupied by registered persons.
32) Stays of six hours or more within a 24 hour period by any person the occupant allows on the site will incur the applicable extra person’s nightly charge.
33) All vehicles must be registered and possess Compulsory Third Party insurance to enter the park.
34) Card or PIN number issued for entry to park is not transferable, and is for one vehicle per site. Tailgating is not permitted under any circumstances.
35) The occupant must park all vehicles within areas designated by Park Management, and not on any internal roads or vacant sites.
36) A speed limit of 8kph must be obeyed within the park at all times.
37) The following activities are prohibited within the park:
a) the riding of motorised children's cars, bikes, or scooters;
b) the riding of skateboards;
c) the playing of ball games in breach of Rule 40 a), b), c) or d);
d) the lighting of open fires; and
e) the use of personal washing machines and dryers. Coin operated washing machines and dryers are provided in communal laundry blocks.
38) The following activities are permitted within the park strictly between sunrise and sunset, except the use of the basketball hoop at Corrimal Tourist Park which is strictly between 8:00 am and sunset:
a) the riding of electric cars, bikes, or scooters, however a speed limit of 8kph must be obeyed;
b) the riding of bikes;
c) the riding of rollerblades; and
d) the use of playground equipment.
39) A helmet must be worn without exception when riding bikes, scooters and rollerblades.
40) The occupant and/or any person the occupant allows on the site, or elsewhere in the park must not:
a) cause or permit disturbance of the reasonable peace, comfort or privacy of Park Management, any other person lawfully in the park or owners/occupiers of any neighboring land;
b) cause or permit a nuisance to Park Management, any other person lawfully in the park or owners/occupiers of any neighboring land;
c) cause or permit the interference with the proper use and enjoyment of the park by any other person lawfully in the holiday park;
d) intentionally or negligently cause or permit any damage to the site or any other part of the park;
e) use the site, or cause or permit the site to be used for any illegal purpose;
f) cause or permit any unreasonable noise at anytime, particularly between 10:00 pm and 12:00 am; and
g) cause or permit noise strictly between 12:00 am and 7:30 am.
41) The occupant and/or any person the occupant allows on the site, or elsewhere in the park must vacate all common areas of the park strictly before 11:00 pm.
42) Council accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage that may occur to an occupants’ personal property whilst staying at the park.
43) Caravans and tents must be erected within the boundaries of the powered or unpowered sites designated by Park Management.
44) The digging of trenches around caravans and tents is not permitted unless authorised by Park Management.
45) The occupant must not erect or display an advertisement within the park.
46) Amenities blocks are closed to patrons during cleaning and/or maintenance.
47) Children under eight years of age can only enter amenity or laundry blocks when accompanied by an adult.
48) Hand basins and laundry tubs in amenities blocks must not be used for washing cooking utensils.
49) The occupant and/or any person the occupant allows on the site must ensure the site is safe and without risks to health in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2000 and to a standard acceptable to Park Management.
50) The occupant must maintain the site in a clean and tidy condition and free from all garbage, refuse and waste matter.
51) The occupant must ensure that all garbage, refuse and waste material is securely wrapped and placed in the appropriate receptacle provided by Council.
52) Dogs and other animals are not permitted in the park.
53) A person must not occupy a site i.e., cabin, bungalow, caravan or camping site for a total of more than 150 days in any 12 month period, i.e., financial year or for more than 27 days continuously, unless it is a holiday van and the person is the owner (occupant) of that holiday van: refer to Rule 17.
54) PERMANENT OCCUPATION OF A SITE IS PROHIBITED.
